The Art of Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg-Dying

Learn the traditional folk art of pysanky, or Ukrainian egg-dying. Discover the simple but magical batik-like dying technique that yields these intricately-patterned eggs, each a one-of-a-kind patchwork of color. History and symbolism will also be discussed.

Price includes materials fee of $30 that covers most materials and is non-refundable after class begins. Please bring at least four blown-out (white) eggs and an empty egg carton to the workshop. All additional supplies will be provided.
